Many weird and life-like formations can be found in the region. This one is just one of the simple wonders.

A stop at one of the popular petrol stations on the route from Konya to Cappadocia. That is a whirling dervish behind us. What Konya is most famous for. Besides its radical islamists (well, not that radical).

The winter of 2001 saw me and Sevim run havoc in the land of fairy chimneys. We only stayed over a couple of days, but that was just enough to ensure the survival of the Cappadocians.
